Water Quality Monitoring
At Khabat River in Iraq which is located at the borders of Erbil, Dohuk and Ninawa, there is a water treatment plant which provides water to some 50,000 people in this region. The ministry of environment requests a monitoring station for the raw water source from Khabat River to this plant.
The customized station contains: a data logger CR850 for measurement and control with built in key board and display with its installation accessories and software (LOGGERNET; RTMCPro and Streamlin-ENV); multi-parameters sonde EXO2 with wiper and anti-fouling guard from YSI and cellular communication between the river station and the main office in the water purification plant.
The six sensors of the Sonde are configured with the station which is solar powered and COM110 cellular modem was used for cellular communication via Asia cell service provider.
The measured water quality parameters are:
Using such advance water monitoring station with continuous maintenance and sensors calibration as required at another plants as planned by the ministry, will provide an advance data source for the raw water quality before stages of water purification plant.
